In America…
Circling back to last week’s post:
The unexamined life is where we wake up one day and wonder…what just happened to the last three decades of my life? How did I end up in this career, this state of health, these relationships, that mindset? We were on autopilot—checked out and the years slipped by. We did not pause to check in or course correct.
But the overexamined life can be a similar trap. Where we second guess everything—chewing and stewing. We are so worried about analyzing and optimizing every area of our life that we forget to be present, forget to pause and be at peace. This is a different form of checking out. But an equal robber.
