Part 2: A net-zero home reduces our energy costs, our reliance on the grid, our reliance on other countries, our use of fossil fuels, our footprint.
And increases our ability to weather the weather — improving our resilience in the face of a rapidly changing climate. Many net-zero homes can maintain comfortable indoor temperatures in the face of severe outdoor temperature swings and power outages.
It is worth restating that a net-zero home is not complicated and relatively easy to achieve, especially in new construction homes. Read Part 1.
