Meditation is a skill. A skill that we need to practice. Thus the phrase - meditation practice. When we practice meditating, we are practicing holding our attention on one thing in the present moment. Nobody is born with this skill. To improve requires consistent practice over long periods of time.
If you have tried meditating and bailed on it, try again. And again and again and again. That is the practice. The ‘agains’ are like reps in the weight room. The more reps, the stronger you get.
