Special Announcement for 2023

Hello friends,

This email is to announce a bit of a shift.

For 2022, I chose to write billboard style. In part, because I have often thought that actual billboards could be put to much more thought provoking and fruitful use than for advertising and getting us to purchase more stuff. And quite frankly, I was also heartbroken at the start of the year in terms of where we were as a nation and hoped to be part of shifting the discourse.

So I wrote my 2022 posts in super short form—sharing mindsets and perspectives that I wanted to keep front and center. Messages that could theoretically fit on a billboard and give rise to optimism or contemplation whether driving down the highway or opening a morning email.

But as 2022 drew to a close, I realized that I have been hungry to spend a tad longer on various topics…to gargle and swish things around a bit more. And. I have been yearning to hear your point of view and related stories.

As we move into 2023, please note that I will be shifting from billboard style to a short daily paragraph—giving each idea just a bit more real estate. The daily posts in this new year should still make for a fast read (something many of you have stated you love), but they will also serve as an optional invitation to participate in the form of commenting or sharing with others.

I realize that I did not need to go into the above detail about this change. But as I tiptoe through the years, I sense that deeper connection is only possible if we are willing to lift our veils. And boy do I want deeper connection.
